HERE. I'M POSTING SOMETHING NEW. HAPPY?

So, Friday was the last day of school of 2007. We went to Mark's house to play Guitar Hero 3 and watch the 5th Harry Potter movie. AND, OMG BECAUSE THEY (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) GOT ME THE PUMA BAG. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OK, I WAS TOO EXCITED. ANYWAY, IT'S A GOOD GIFT. I hate you, LYNDA. YOU ARE TOO GOOD AT GUITAR HERO.
I didn't really do anything on Saturday morning expect for practicing and practicing more. At one o'clock, me, Lynda, and Tracy went to Townsend Park to practice. Other people couldn't come because they had "stuff" to do. Later, Justine called and we went to Christmas In The Parks. We were going to eat at Johnny Rockets, but those stupid people most likely wouldn't move to let us sit, so we went to Quiznos Sub instead. AND, WE MADE LYNDA EAT THIS ONE SANDWICH WITH A LITTLE MUSTARD. =DDDDD. We went home at like 7 o'clock. I found out that my Zen USB cord thingy works for my camera, too. Finally, I got the GSF picture on my computer.
Today, we went to Tree Lot for 4 hours and we didn't really so anything. Now, I'm gonna practice some more...

YAY, CHRISTMAS EVE TOMORROW.

GSF PICTURE:

- Crosses out Scott's face -
JK?

Last Sunday was the last day of the marching band season. First of all, we won. We are champions this year again. It makes me feel happy and sad at the same time. I feel good because the instructors won't yell at us anymore; they won't give us anymore push ups (Jordan..."coughs"). Even though I always complain how tired it is to carry a drum and other things, I still miss marching band. It feels weird without going to practices, without carrying a thirty-five pounds bass drum, sitting in front of the computer at 7 p.m. on a Tuesday, and having so much free time. We've gone through so much; we've been practicing so much. We put so much effort into it and this is the end. We won't march or play Bolero anymore. Over the last two and a half months, marching band has become part of my life. I spent more time on marching band than school. There are people who make me dislike this band so much, but there are also people who make me love this band. I miss the fun times we had together. I can't wait until the next season starts.

    <lj:music>Lifehouse - Hanging by a Moment</lj:music>

So, last Saturday was our second show. I went to practice at 9 o' clock. Peter led the stretching and basics block. It was crazy because we did hella box exercises. As usual, we practiced for 4 hours. I wanted to run to Wendy's because I was really hungry. No one wanted to run (lazy asses), so I walked. After we ate, we were ready to leave school. I took a nap on the bus, and we arrived at 3 o' clock-ish. We (the drum line) only had 10 minutes to change into our uniforms. I was panicking the whole time. We warmed up for 20 - 30 minutes. Then, we were ready to perform.
I wasn't nervous this time. It was probably because I gained experiences from the last show. It went by pretty fast. I was glad that I didn't mess up on the last move, but I forgot to play the first few notes of "Mars". Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Later, we changed into our street clothes, and ate dinner. We watched the other bands. The James Logan Marching Band impressed me the most because they had like 300 people. Their red and black uniforms reminded me of ,the movie, 300. Our band is like super tiny compared to theirs. They were also really good. The bass line from this one band (I couldn't remember which band it was) was also impressive. Their triplet runs were prefect. I wish I could play so well like them.
At 10 o' clock-ish, they were announcing the awards. We won 5 awards: Best Music, Best General Effect, Best Visual Effect, Best Auxiliary, and A/AA/AAA Sweepstakes Award (1st place in class A,AA, and AAA). I think that's pretty good. We basically took all the awards we could get except for Best Percussion. T_T... *Sigh*. This means that I have to practice more! >.<. Peter is gonna kill us, and I kinda don't want to go to practice tomorrow.
It was a good weekend I guess.

VIDEOS OF OUR FIRST SHOW: Part 1 and 2

http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c335/drgnxpnoy/?action=view&current=IHS2007InvitationalPt1.flv

http://s30.photobucket.com/albums/c335/drgnxpnoy/?action=view&current=IHS2007InvitationalPt2.flv

MUST WATCH!!!

So, we performed in front of the audience, but I thought that there would be more people. I was nervous, yet the tension turned to excitement. The whole thing was going okay until the last move. I messed up pretty badly on the last move. The bass line was supposed to be in a diagonal line, and I was the only one who was isolated from the line (it was really really really obvious that I messed up).UGHHHHHHHHH. I hope I will learn from this mistake and do better in the next performance. Afterwards, we marched around the track once and stayed on the side. Ryan told us that we did a great job that night, and he said a bunch of other stuff. If we were competing with other schools, we could have won first place in our division and second place over all. We were only 0.7 points away from the other school. I was glad that I stayed in Marching Band. That 9 minutes was the fastest 9 minutes in my life; it didn't feel like 9 minutes. It was fabulous.
We had the invitational party at Mark's house. Me, Lynda, and Tracy were watching "I Love New York" in Mark's room, but I fell asleep 5 minutes after. Later, people came to Mark's room to play Halo 3, and most of them fell asleep except for Scott, Adam, and Mark. We woke up at 2:00-ish, and went home.
Today was picture day. We changed into our uniforms, and took a full band picture. Me, Lynda, Tracy, Scott, and Mark also took a "Grove Street Family" picture. LOL. Later, we took sectional pictures. Our theme was "Prom Date". Adam was trying to think of a theme, but he couldn't remember what we talked about this year other than sex. Hahaha. Today was okay.

So, our first Marching Band show was yesterday. Lynda woke me up at 4:40 a.m. and her dad drove us to Denny's. People said that they would be there by 5:00, but the only people we saw were Lance and Tracy. I was really hungry, so Lynda offered me cookies. People started coming at 5:30 - 6:00. We began ordering at 6:30-ish. Lynda, Tracy, and I ordered the same thing, which was "Meat Lover's breakfast" or "Country Meat Lover". Later, stupid Mark and Tracy told almost everyone that I am allergic to oranges (even Sarah Silvermen knew). And then, Adam started threatening me with Mark's orange juice. UGHHHHHHH. Somehow, other people also found out that Lynda is scared of condiments. Adam and JM threatened Lynda with ketchup. Sorry, Lynda, but it was funny when Adam made that sound. Also, thank you, Lance's parents, for taking care of the bills. After we were done with breakfast, we went to Mark's house to change, and his mom took us to school.
As usual, we practiced drills. At 1:30, me and Lynda ran to Wendy's because I wanted to be the first one in line. When we got to Wendy's, there were like 10 people in front of us T_T. After we ate lunch, we had this "Aussie Ceremony". It was really scary when I first went into the room because the vets were stand behind us looking at the ground with their aussies on. Later, we listened to all these stories that were told by the instructors and Adam, and I realized how important and meaningful the aussies are. I thought it is just a normal hat because I didn't know that there were so many stories behind it. They saddened me, and I almost cried. Okay, enough with the sad stuff. I was excited to get my own aussie, and scared at the same time because I was afraid that I would drop it.
Around 6:00, we changed into our uniforms. I was really really really really scared. I was shivering for half an hour because I was worrying about our first show. I knew that I would mess up, but I was scared that I would mess up on the major parts. Me, Lynda, and Tracy prayed. LOL. After that, we practiced our music.

To be continued...
